Share Statistics

clarife tracks view counts for every shared document. The statistics give you a basic understanding of how your content is performing and whether your audience is engaging with it.

1. Open the Share panel - In the editor, click Share for a document that has an active share link.
2. Check the view count - The total number of views is displayed in the share panel. Each time a visitor loads the shared document, the counter increments.

• Each page load counts as one view.
• Refreshing the page increments the counter.
• Views from the document owner (you) are also counted.
• Views through embeds (iframe, widget, popup) are counted the same way as direct link visits.

• Measure interest - see if your tutorial or guide is getting traction.
• Justify upgrades - high view counts can justify upgrading to a paid plan for additional sharing features.
• Track distribution - after sending a link to a group, check whether they actually opened it.

No. Statistics show aggregate numbers only - the total view count plus unique visitors counted by hashed IP. clarife does not reveal any visitor identity or a list of who viewed. The email gate lets you restrict access to people who confirm an address, but it likewise does not show the owner who specifically viewed the document.

Yes. Currently there is no distinction between your views and visitor views in the statistics.

There is no manual reset option. If you delete and re-create the share link, the counter starts from zero with the new link.

No. All views - whether from direct links or embeds - are counted together in the same total.
