What is clarife?

clarife is a tutorial creation app that turns screenshots into polished, shareable step-by-step guides. You can add annotations, enhance visuals with device frames and backgrounds, generate AI-narrated videos, and export or share your work with a link.

What can I create with clarife?

You can create step-by-step tutorials, product walkthroughs, onboarding guides, SOPs (standard operating procedures), knowledge base articles, and training materials. Documents can include text, screenshots with annotations, code blocks, and tables.

Is clarife free?

Yes. The Free plan includes 5 documents, 100 MB storage, 1 project, and 3 active shares. Every new account also gets a 14-day trial of Pro features. Paid plans (Pro and Business) unlock unlimited documents, more storage, and advanced features - see current pricing on the pricing page.

What languages does clarife support?

The clarife interface is fully available in English and Polish. You can switch your language at any time in Settings > Profile. AI video generation supports narration in 11 languages.

Does clarife work on mobile devices?

The clarife web app is optimized for desktop browsers. The dashboard is accessible on tablets and phones in a responsive layout, but the full editor experience (annotations, enhancer) works best on desktop. There is no native mobile app.

Is there a desktop app?

Yes. clarife capture is a free companion app for macOS that lets you capture screenshots with automatic step numbering and sync them directly to your web documents. Download it at clarife.app/companion, from the companion section on the clarife.app homepage, from the features page, or via the download icon in your dashboard after signing in.

Can I collaborate with my team?

Yes. The Business plan supports team workspaces with role-based permissions and additional seats. You can invite team members, assign roles, and collaborate on shared documents.

How is my data stored and protected?

Documents and screenshots are stored securely in the cloud with encryption at rest and in transit. clarife uses Supabase (hosted on AWS) with Row Level Security on all database tables. For details, see the Security overview.

Can I use my own branding?

On the Business plan, you can set up custom branding (logo, colors, slogan) that applies to shared documents, exports, and generated videos. Pro users can remove clarife branding. Free plan includes clarife watermarks.
