Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your clarife account at any time. This action is irreversible after the grace period.

⚠️ Warning: Account deletion is permanent. After the 30-day grace period, all your data is permanently erased and cannot be recovered.

1. Open account settings — Go to Settings > Account from the dashboard sidebar.
2. Click Delete Account — Scroll to the danger zone and click Delete Account.
3. Re-authenticate — Enter your current password to confirm your identity. This step is required for security.
4. Confirm deletion — Read the warning and type the confirmation text to proceed.
5. 30-day grace period begins — Your account is scheduled for deletion. You have 30 days to change your mind.

ℹ️ Info: To cancel the deletion during the grace period, contact support@clarife.app with your account email. Your account will be restored with all data intact.

💡 Tip: Before deleting your account, consider:

• Export your data to keep a backup
• Cancel your subscription to stop billing immediately
• Transfer workspace ownership if you are a team Owner

If you are a workspace Owner:

• Transfer ownership to another member before deleting your account
• If you are the only Owner, the entire workspace and all team data will be scheduled for deletion

During the 30-day grace period, yes. Contact support@clarife.app. After 30 days, recovery is not possible.

Transaction records are retained for legal and tax compliance. Personal billing details (name, address) are anonymized after deletion.

All shared links stop working immediately when your account is deactivated. Recipients will see a "document not found" message.

No. Account deletion automatically cancels any active subscription. However, you will not receive a refund for the current billing period.
