Login Alerts
Login alerts notify you when your account is accessed from a new device or browser. clarife detects new devices using a secure fingerprint based on your browser and operating system.
- New login detected — When you sign in from an unrecognized device, clarife records the device fingerprint.
- Email sent — An alert email is sent to your account email with details about the login: device type, browser, approximate location, and time.
- Review the alert — If you recognize the login, no action is needed. If you do not recognize it, change your password immediately and enable 2FA.
⚠️ Warning: If you receive a login alert for a device you do not recognize, change your password immediately at Settings > Security and enable two-factor authentication.
Dunning Emails (Failed Payments)
If a payment fails, clarife sends up to 3 reminder emails during a 14-day grace period:
| Sent on | Content | |
|---|---|---|
| First reminder | Day 1 | Payment failed, update payment method |
| Second reminder | Day 7 | Urgent: 7 days remaining |
| Final warning | Day 13 | Last chance before downgrade |
After day 14, your account is downgraded to the Free plan. See Failed Payments for details.
Share Access Codes
When you protect a share with an email gate, recipients receive a one-time access code via email to verify their identity before viewing the document.
ℹ️ Info: Access code emails are sent to the recipient, not to you. You do not receive notifications when someone accesses your shared documents.
💡 Tip: All notification emails are sent from noreply@clarife.app. Add this address to your contacts to prevent emails from going to spam.
Can I disable login alert emails?
No. Login alerts are a security feature and cannot be disabled. They help you detect unauthorized access.
Why am I getting login alerts for my own device?
This can happen if you clear your browser cookies, use incognito/private mode, or update your browser. Each appears as a new device.
Are notification emails available in my language?
Yes. Notification emails are sent in the language set in your account preferences (English or Polish).
I am not receiving emails. What should I do?
Check your spam/junk folder. Add noreply@clarife.app to your contacts. If emails still do not arrive, contact support@clarife.app.
