clarife works best on Chromium-based browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Arc, and Brave. Safari and Firefox are supported but may have minor differences in export rendering. We recommend Chrome for the best experience.

Individual image uploads are limited to 30 MB per file. This applies to both file uploads and clipboard paste. For larger images, resize them before uploading.

clarife accepts PNG, JPG/JPEG, and WebP formats for screenshot uploads. PNG is recommended for UI screenshots as it preserves sharp text and edges.

No. clarife is a cloud-based application that requires an internet connection. Documents are saved to the cloud in real time. The clarife capture companion app can capture screenshots offline, but syncing requires a connection.

Yes. clarife offers a REST API, an MCP server, and webhooks on the Pro and Business plans. Generate API keys in Settings > API. See the API overview for details.

You can export documents as PDF (via browser print engine), HTML (self-contained file), and Markdown (plain text with image references). Business plan users can also generate presentation-style exports.

clarife automatically saves your document as you edit. Changes are persisted to the cloud within seconds. A save indicator in the toolbar confirms when the latest changes are saved. You can also press Cmd+S for manual save.

The clarife capture companion app is available for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel). Windows and Linux versions are not currently available.

There is no hard limit on the number of blocks per document. However, very large documents (50+ screenshots) may load more slowly. Storage limits are per-account, not per-document.

Yes. On the Business plan, you can configure a custom domain (e.g., docs.yourcompany.com) for your shared document links. Set this up in Settings > Branding.
