Presentation Export
Overview
Presentation export turns your document into a self-contained, interactive HTML slide deck. clarife automatically splits your content into slides at each heading or divider block, creating a clean step-by-step walkthrough. You open the file in your browser.
ℹ️ Info: Presentation export is available on Pro and Business plans. Business plan users can apply custom branding (logo, colors) to the presentation.
How to Create a Presentation
- Structure your document - Use headings (H1, H2, H3) or divider blocks to mark where you want slide breaks. Each section between breaks becomes one slide.
- Click Export > Presentation - In the editor toolbar, click Export and select Presentation. clarife generates and downloads a presentation file (.html).
- Open the downloaded file - Open it in your browser and navigate the slides with the arrow keys, the space bar, or the on-screen navigation buttons. The slide counter shows your current position.
Slide Splitting Rules
| Block Type | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Heading (H1, H2, H3) | Starts a new slide |
| Divider | Starts a new slide |
| Other blocks | Grouped into the current slide |
Content before the first heading or divider becomes the title slide.
Navigation Controls
Inside the downloaded presentation file:
- Arrow keys (left/right) - previous/next slide
- Space - next slide
- Escape - exit full-screen mode
- Click arrows - on-screen navigation buttons
Tips for Great Presentations
- One idea per slide - place a heading before each key point.
- Use screenshots generously - visual steps work better than long paragraphs in presentation format.
- Keep text concise - slides with too much text will overflow. Move details to a companion document.
- Add dividers for breaks that don't need a heading.
Can I present directly from clarife or do I need to download?
You present from the downloaded file. clarife generates a self-contained interactive HTML file that you open in your browser and run as a slideshow, including offline. There is no separate presenter mode inside the clarife interface itself.
How do I control where slides break?
Slides break at every heading (H1-H3) and every divider block. To force a break without a heading, insert a divider. To merge sections, remove the heading between them.
Can I add custom branding to the presentation?
Yes, on the Business plan. Set up your branding in Settings > Branding and it will be applied to presentations automatically - including your logo, accent color, and company name.
Is there a slide limit?
No. The presentation supports any number of slides. However, for best performance and audience engagement, keep presentations under 30-40 slides.
